In one of the many chambers of Lady Governess’s courts, Brinks, another loyal follower of hers, presents a problem:



“They will more than likely join forces; we should set forth an insurance policy securing your advocacy to the throne, which is rightfully yours, My Lady.”


Yes, this I know, Brinks, and I’m aware of this pitfall, but I can reassure you that this “upset” is a mere breeze in the thousands of trees that forest many lands.  Rest assured, I have a plan brewing as we speak, and I await the proper time to present this to you and the rest of my loyal followers.  When time is right, we will strike.”


“But, but, My Lady, you’ve witnessed how they both disappeared from the bathroom at school…”


“AND THAT WAS YOUR FAULT, BRINKS!!”  Lowering her voice, she continued “That was your mistake, for you sent the creature forth without my command, WITHOUT MY ORDER!!!”


“But, My Lady, you don’t—you don’t understand, if the two of them get together, who knows what may stir up! And pharaoh forbade that they discover the truth and gain the knowledge to—”


Holding her hand up and cutting him off in mid-sentence, Lady Governess, spoke. “How dare you defy my judgment?!  Have I ever been wrong?!  She stood still waiting for an answer, “I’m waiting…”


“No, My Lady.”


“Now, please, you must control your anxiety.  Yes, I know that it’s beginning to warm up a little around here, but it’s not an uncomfortable level.  We knew this moment would arise, but what took us by surprise is how fast.”


“Yes, My Lady, I know it merely broadsided us!” Brinks quickly interjected.


“WHEN and if the heat rises, we’ll just simply adjust.  You, of all followers, should be epically careful as to not reveal your identity.  Do not continue making hasty decisions; though you know your subject rather well, we need not invite another dilemma.”

  Assuming that nothing else could go wrong, Octavious headed to his bedroom chambers, ran water for a long, hot, shower, and prepared himself as best as he could for what was to come in Erica’s book.
