Ertifferrah Written By: Elay Understood CHAPTER 38 GENUINE SPIRIT...Elay TV Content Creator
Assuming that nothing else could go wrong, Octavious headed to his bedroom chambers, ran water for a long, hot, shower, and prepared himself as best as he could for what was to come in Erica’s book. Thinking that if anything else went wrong, at least he would be ready for it.
On the dark chestnut brown couch, the cool feel of the leather gave him comfort as it soothed his skin. In only boxer shorts, he finally opened the book, first studying the front page, which had a photo of Erica, and underneath, the name ‘Ertifferrah’. Instantly knowing that this was her true name, he smiled and turned the page. Each page had his undivided attention and, in a way calmed him. It felt as if she was in the room with him.
Several pages in, something really caught his attention:
Sometimes, I wish I had someone to talk to…
Here I am, seventeen years old and still writing in a stupid journal! No offense to you, okay. But then again that couldn’t be so bad because there are some things others shouldn’t know of. If you understand what I mean…
So, she-bear, I’m glad I found you or should I say, glad you found me. To this day, I haven’t the faintest clue as to why something as neat as you would be hidden in Lady Governess’s gift room.
I know you hear me. She-bear, I know you feel and hear me engraving your pages with lead and ink on almost a daily basis. But why haven’t you written back to me yet? Its’ been a while, about a month at least. Is it that maybe you’re a boy notebook and don’t know how to answer some of my personal questions. Maybe you’re feeling a little uncomfortable knowing my intimate fantasies, curiosities, and fears about Octavious…
I’ve never fallen in love before, but after meeting him, now I think I know what real love is…
Mouth open, Octavious intently read on, fascinated. He couldn’t help but wonder if this she-bear notebook was the same one his older sister had mentioned having once. His sister had said that it had magical powers, that it was alive. With that in mind, he tucked the thought away for later until he had a chance to ask Ertifferrah about it.
The more he read, the closer he felt to her, as if she were literally drawing him into her with every word she wrote. He found it hard to tear away from the book. Reading more and more, his fears of her not wanting to be with him anymore slowly melted away as he got to truly know the woman he wanted to be his queen. Unselfishly, his ego was set aside as a desire for total understanding filled his spirit. Now, treating this moment as an honor and privilege, he knelt down to give thanks to Integrity for providing him, if only for a season, a girl with a genuine spirit.
Feeling refreshed, he closed the book. “Now all I have to do is get to her.”
